Oh yes – after lots of calibrating, sanding, painting, cleaning and more shifting we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel…. !  The bear is finally here and he is VERY thirsty indeed.

Thank you to our loyal customers who have kindly been in over the past few nights to push our system to the limit. . It has been great fun and really useful to ensure we are delivering you a quality product.

We have darts, we have pool, we have one of London’s leading flair artists, big screens for all the games, iPads, self serve beer, barman-less bar and a great desire to make the Thirsty Bear your go to pub in London. What more could you want?

Join us this weekend for the start of the biggest revolution in pubs the world has ever seen.

The Thirsty Bear. Pub Revolutionised

As you can see the iPad is in place and the two different self service taps are connected and ready to go.

Getting excited yet?

The refurb continues….

Well things are progressing nicely and really starting to come together. It still looks like a bit of a building site but if you can see through the sawdust there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

The very first pint, from the very first at table tap was pulled on Friday. Phil was our guinea pig and he advised that it “tasted exquisite” and was “perfectly chilled”. However, not satisfied with perfection of a single pint we continued to measure taste and temperature over the weekend. The good news is despite rigorous testing we found no issues with taste or temperature.

Another milestone was the official rebranding of the building. On Sunday the first of the Stamford Arms signs were taken down and replaced with beautiful and elegant signs for The Thirsty Bear.

Happy New Year…. and we are closed!

Wishing all of our customers a very prosperous New Year.

After a cracking New Year’s Eve with our last night trading as the Stamford Arms, we are now closed and well into the mix with all of our refurbishment. All the carpets are up and the work men are in busy beavering away laying new floors and giving the pub a good old spring clean.

Our intentions are to re-open on the 23rd January but for those “beary” special ones amongst us we would like to offer the ability to come in and help us test out the new system to the max. We intend to have a couple of test events prior to the official open where we want to invite a select few to come down and have a sneak preview.  If you are interested then please register your details @  http://thethirstybear.com/register-interest/

Refurb Update

Those of you familiar with the Stamford will have noticed a lot of changes going on of late externally.  Progress has been promising and we are doing as much work as we possibly can inside to bring you our brand new concept as soon as we possibly can.

We are now in full swing upstairs and hope to have most of the painting done in time for our New Years Eve party so you can get a taste of what is coming…!

Thanks to Peter Painter and the gang for all of the hard work to date.  A sneak preview for you all below….
