After much anticipated update we have finally rolled out the latest and greatest in self service kit into The Thirsty Bear.

This will pave the way for a whole plethora of very exciting features down the line. We promise to always ensure that we only have the very best and cutting edge technology for our customers and invite you to come in and see the changes for yourselves.

There are some temporary issues with our online booking system.  If you don’t receive a reply to an enquiry then your booking IS NOT confirmed.

Please call up the pub directly (0207 928 5354) to make any bookings whilst we remedy the issue.

We know its normally the case that Easter is barely over before you start seeing Christmas lights going up in the shops and everyone is frantically getting ready for the big day, shopping for presents and getting into the Christmast spirit.

So we are sorry to say that here is our contribution as well….  But we are only doing it because we care and don’t want you to miss out on our fantastic Christmas menu – we have already been inundated with enquiries so here is a warning to get on it ASAP if you want to spend your party in London’s only self service public house.

Feeling a bit peckish? … Think the Grizzly burger is a walk in the park? … Have you got a large appetite for quality meat? … Fancy a challenge?

Our grizzly challenge comprises of 3 of our delicious Grizzly Bear burgers (1.5 pounds of prime sirloin and fillet topped with slow cooked BBQ pulled pork), a double portion of handcut chips, a side salad and 2 pints of refreshing Meantime London Pale Ale.

Come and visit us and order a “Goldiehops & The 3 Grizzly Bears” from our at table iPads and if you’re able to finish it all in under an hour, on your own, then there will be no charge for this monstrous meal. Fail to finish and you pay the £60.

Will Spain hold onto their crown of Euro Champions or will England finally do us proud? Whatever happens you can see every game live at the Thirsty Bear.

To book a table for the game, please use the following link noting any specific requirements that you have and be sure to note the game that you are booking for. We are almost fully booked for most of the England games so our remaining tables are on a first come first served basis.  We advise getting your bookings in early to avoid disappointment. 

The Thirsty Bear is running a competition to give you – our loyal customers – an opportunity to design your own dream burger.

The winner will not only win masses of kudos for creating and naming an awesome burger but will also be able to try their creation for free in the Bear and wash it all down with a £30 bar tab.

The bear has listened to your feedback and after much searching and testing we have finally launched Meantime Pale Ale on draught right at your table…!
