It’s competition time!

The Thirsty Bear is running a competition to give you – our loyal customers – an opportunity to design your own dream burger.

The winner will not only win masses of kudos for creating and naming an awesome burger but will also be able to try their creation for free in the Bear and wash it all down with a £30 bar tab.

Send your designs to us at burger@thethirstybear.com or tweet it to @thethirstybear by the 25th May. Our favorite two designs will be sold in The Thirsty Bear for one week and the best selling one will remain on our menu.

Oh yes, things are coming together very well now. Need proof? Okay, here is the table we refer to as the ‘Coffee Table’.

As you can see the iPad is in place and the two different self service taps are connected and ready to go.

The refurb continues….

Well things are progressing nicely and really starting to come together. It still looks like a bit of a building site but if you can see through the sawdust there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

The very first pint, from the very first at table tap was pulled on Friday. Phil was our guinea pig and he advised that it “tasted exquisite” and was “perfectly chilled”. However, not satisfied with perfection of a single pint we continued to measure taste and temperature over the weekend. The good news is despite rigorous testing we found no issues with taste or temperature.

Another milestone was the official rebranding of the building. On Sunday the first of the Stamford Arms signs were taken down and replaced with beautiful and elegant signs for The Thirsty Bear.

Demonstration Screen & Tap Now Available!
